Mr.Bean's Holiday

A review of yet another Rowan Atkinson film.
Plot:
One day,Bean wins a contest and gets a free trip to the beaches of the beautiful Cannes.From London,he moves to Paris by train.Before boarding a train to Cannes, he asks a co-passenger to record his actions in his videocam infront of the train.Due to this,the other passenger misses the train and asks his young son(Who's in the train.) to depart at the next station.Now the son extracts revenge by making Bean too depart(As he takes away Bean's videocam.) at the next station.Now,his father arrives from another train,but the train does not stop at this station and both have to find other way to reach Cannes.After doing some odd jobs,they get money and board a bus to Cannes.But,Bean's ticket flies somewhere and in order to pick it up,he had to travel long distances.(On foot.)Now,he waits for a long time on the road asking for a lift,which he gets finally from the actress whose life was saved by Bean,just a day ago.Now,the lady falls in love with Bean.She informs him that she too is heading to Cannes as one movie 'Playback Time'(Where se has a small role.) is being screened there the other day.While moving to one restaurant,Bean once again finds the boy and the boy comes along with the duo.It is now that Bean comes to know that the boy is a famous Russian director's son and the director has come to Cannes as the Chairman of the jury for the Cannes film festival and that bean's branded as a 'kidnapper'!So they appear in disguise while coming to Cannes to avoid the police. The trio enjoy their journey to Cannes and all this time(From the day Bean arrives in Paris.),he records the incidents in his videocam.Move over to Cannes, famous actor-director Carson Clay's film 'Playback Time' was being screened and all the delegates in the hall were snoring,barring Carson Clay because the film was boring. Having arrived in the Cannes hall,Bean tries to search for the Russian director,but could not find him.The prankster he is,he ends up doing a funny thing in the cinema hall,which makes this boring film interesting and also,makes the Russian director get back his son.What's the prank?See it.
Finally, Bean also gets to enjoy his dream,the Cannes beach.There,he gets a rousing reception by the people around,as he has become famous due to that film.

Mr.Bean,the fool he is,in what could have been a simple 2 trains journey from London to Cannes makes it into a roller-coaster ride all because of his foolish obsessions,the worst being getting each and every major scenes in his tour to be recorded in his videocam.But,in the process he makes nice friends and also becomes a celebrity in Cannes!
Positives:
1.Rowan Atkinson:You walk,we laugh.You speak,we laugh.You eat,we laugh.Man,you do anything,those all make us laugh heartily!You're a great actor!
2.Child and the heroine too act well.
3.Jokes:(i)The one where he reads his coupon number wrongly.
(ii)The one where he struggles eating all those sea food in Paris.
(iii)The interpolation of 'Playback Time'.That's one thing which made everyone in the theatre laugh heartily.
4.France's locales looked great.A treat to watch.
Negatives:
1.Same complaint as in the case of Johnny English.Very short.(Just 90 minutes!)
Rating:9 out of 10 for its excellent comedy,though not so non-stop.(As Bean's struggle for a lift made us sad for a while.)Well,the movie was housefull.(Saw it in Sterling yesterday evening.)
