After 5 long years,I've come back to Mysore(Mysuru) again. While Bangalore(Bengaluru) was totally different from what I've seen 5 years ago,but Mysore looks the same.I wonder why.First of all the railway station is very small.(Just 3 platforms!)As for the airport,I've heard there are still 'plans' to construct an airport in Mysuru! When I say development,I do not mean appearance of 20-30 skyscrapers, but some kind of improvements in the amenities, especially roads and other means of transport.
Mysuru is a beautiful city 'steeped' in tradition with some of the most beautiful buildings and palaces and it's the second biggest city in Karnataka. Thus,it has a great potential of becoming a toruist hub.But then,if its potential can be utilised only if it is well developed, especially in the transport field.Showing a step-motherly treatment to this city won't work well.

Development !!!!!!
1. Infosys has its Global Learning Centre in Mysore
2. More trains are passing through Mysore now
3. Global infrastructure are desperately trying to connect Bangalore and Mysire by better roads to make Bangalore/Mysore a bigger and better hub.
4. To be frank Mysore has huge roads and it has potentail to handle.
5. Once the BIAL is ready to operate, Mysore will start its operations, it wil start handelling the domestic traffic.
