The Social Network(2010)

This is the second time,I watched an English film on the first day of its release(In India);although I didn't watch Director David Fincher's acclaimed films of the past like Se7en,FightClub,Zodiac-this film isn't a bad one to start with,it's indeed one of the best films of the year.
The film is a dramatised version of the founding of Facebook, about its founder Mark Zuckerburg;it all begins with Mark's girlfriend breaking up with him and then in a drunken state,he sits through the midnight hacking Harvard University's female student's profiles, copy their pictures;post them on a website set-up by him(Facemash.com) and create a poll on who's more attractive. It becomes an immediate hit in the Campus, with the site gaining 22000 hits in just a couple of hours;and also a suspension for Mark.
Then, the Winklevoss brothers and Narendra, who spot the talent in him,ask him to work as a Programmer for their Networking site;it's while chatting with them, that he supposedly gets an idea of forming a Social Network site of his own, which will be set-up with the help of the Finance provided by his friend Eduardo and thus emerges 'thefacebook.com',which slowly becomes popular across several Institutions.Mark and Eduardo get fine recognition, while the Winklevoss brothers feel angry that Mark stole their Idea. With the arrival of Sean Parker,Mark gets even more better access to Financial needs, which tempts him to distance himself from his only good friend Eduardo too, diluting the latter's shares in Facebook company.
All these are shown through a series of Flashbacks,as Mark faces a series of lawsuits from the Winklevoss brothers and Eduardo.Perhaps, what makes this Biopic special is that,it's not about about a Veteran, whose life-story is compressed and shown as a film;it's rather about a Young man who's revolutionised Social networking;tales of youth always look Colorful and when it's about a Young Entrepreneur,it must be even more entertaining, with enough tales of romance.
The 2 things which the film emphasises is (1)That through-out the early stages of Founding and developing, Mark has used quite Unethical tactics to move forward,be it the illegal use of the girls' images for his start-up site,or misleading the 3 men who first proposed a Business idea and finally dumping even his Best friend. It remains ambiguous regarding who set up the Cocaine trap in Sean Parker's party or who called the Police then.
(2)Yet,there's no denying that the design, the building and expansion of the site was all because of Mark himself;and that he's always been single-minded in his pursuit towards the Improvement of his Website. Eduardo might've provided the Financial support as a co-Founder,but the Idea was entirely Mark's.The guy is indeed a genius.
The main thing I liked about the film is its Screenplay was more a comedy-oriented one, rather than a dry portrayal of facts;which makes the film more enjoyable-some of the funniest moments being Mark uttering some lines at high speed, while drunk and working on Facemash or Eduardo telling his girlfriend Christy, that he's ending his relationship(The situation looked really funny then.);or when Mark just scribbles some new designs on a paper, while the Lawsuit proceedings were going on.
Coming to characterisations,Mark's is certainly the pick as a cunning, opportunistic yet hardworking Entrepreneur, who knows the way to ignore the calls and mails from the ones who're not needed anymore:P;Sean Parker has a colorful character, whom Eduardo assumes to be a Paranoid.Eduardo's is a relatively positive character, performed solidly by Andrew Garfield.
Overall,an interesting film about Business,Friendship and betrayal.
